Nine people were injured in the crash on SH1, between Christchurch and Rolleston. Nine people have been injured in a collision on State Highway 1 southwest of Christchurch. The crash, involving at least two vehicles, happened between Waterholes Rd and Robinsons Rd, near Rolleston, about 3.30pm on Monday. Police said a "significant" volume of traffic had built up in the area, and motorists were diverted down local roads until the crash site was cleared.
