Police made nine arrests for offences relating to violence against women and girls (VAWG) in a ‘day of action’ in East Berkshire on Monday. Officers from across Windsor and Maidenhead, Slough and Bracknell boroughs met with charities, businesses and local authorities to fight such criminality and support victims. Thames Valley Police (TVP) arrested nine outstanding VAWG-related suspects, held discussions with ‘seldom heard’ communities, and conducted extra patrols. The arrests included rape, other sexual offences, controlling and coercive behaviour, and other offences. As well as arrests and investigations, there was also a large element of community engagement to the day.
