Executive and members of the US based United Nimba Citizens Council (UNICO) have petitioned Unity Party (UP) 2017 presidential candidate, Vice President Joseph N. Boakai to accept Mr. Vofee Saye Jabateh as his running mate in the upcoming presidential elections scheduled this October. The group further praised the Liberian Vice President for granting them audience to share their view on the upcoming presidential elections and to make relevant recommendations. The group expressed confidence in the ability of Mr. Jabateh to serve the Liberian people and nation as the second in command, and noted that success is assured at the October polls if the Vice President accepts their merit-based recommendation. Mr. Vofee Saye Jabateh is the Chief Executive of the African Cultural Alliance of North America (ACANA) an NGO based in the United States which has over the years been providing assistance to Liberians and other nationalities from Africa in their bid to stay in the United States. Up to present his NGO is providing services to thousands of immigrants in the area of legal assistance, social services, community development, healthcare and the promotion of Liberian cultural.
