There are about 18 precincts and 85 voting places in Nimba County Electoral District # 1. The Nimba County By-election has been classified as one of the tensest elections in Nimba County and it is likely to decide the fate of Senator Prince Johnson in the 2023 general election. Both senators Johnson and Koung are supporting Prof. Francis Manweah, while Senator Johnson’s arc rival, Rep. Samuel Kogar, and some previously defeated candidates from the past, are supporting Samuel Brown. Senator Johnson and his MDR launched a massive scholarship campaign for all public school students as a means of also winning the minds of the voters.
