Currently, healthcare services in the district mainly depend on the 250-bed Nilphamari General Hospital and primary healthcare centres at the upazila level. Consequently, patients suffering from serious and complex illnesses have to be referred to Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) or Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
