According to the report, frustrated mothers said the hospital was unnecessarily delaying in attending to their sick children, adding that they are often compelled to spend the whole day at the hospital in a desperate wait for a doctor to attend to their sick children. Explaining the situation on the ground to the MP on Tuesday, the medical superintendent at the hospital, Dr Isaac Aban said the hospital was understaffed. “Is not good enough because we see close to about 200 children every day and out of this staff strength, we have four permanent Doctors. He, therefore, appealed to the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to increase the staff strength at the hospital.
