Police and family sources said that besides working as a guard, Mannan used to earn extra money by giving rides on his motorcycle. Narail police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ilias Hussain said that on Sunday night, Mannan picked up two passengers on his motorbike from Lohagara Kalaghat area to take them to Mirzapur. Hearing his screams for help, locals rushed to the scene and took him to Narail Sadar hospital, where the attending doctors declared him dead.
