3,391 new soldiers of the Nigerian Army were formally inducted on Saturday at Depot Nigerian Army, Osogbo, Osun State capital, marking the first-ever Passing Out Parade since the depot’s establishment. The Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Appolonia Anele, made this known in a statement on Saturday in Abuja. “This ceremony is historic as the first Passing Out Parade of Depot Nigerian Army, Osogbo. “Our soldiers remain the core and enduring strength of the Nigerian Army. He also commended the Commandant, officers, instructors, and staff of the Depot for molding the recruits into disciplined, combat-ready soldiers, and announced that the newly approved Depot Nigerian Army in Abakaliki would soon begin training operations.
