Four million prepaid electricity meters are to be distributed across Nigeria with funding to be provided by the country’s Central Bank. The Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) made the announcement this week in Jos. ”It is said that in Nigeria, electricity generation started in Lagos as far back as 1826 with 20MW. “Electricity supply in Q4 2022 stood at 5,611Gwh from 5,024Gwh in Q3 2022, showing a rise of 11.68%. “On a year-on-year basis, electricity supply declined by 3.48% compared to Q4 2021.”
