Nigeria: Russia Lauds Govt's Efforts in Combating Terrorism


Russia has applauded the Federal government efforts in ending the Boko Haram insurgency in the north east Nigeria. The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Nigeria, Mr Nikolay Udovichenko, stated this during the commemoration of the end of World War II in Abuja. On May 7, 1945, Germany signed an unconditional surrender at Allied headquarters in Reims, France, ending the European conflict of World War II. "We applaud the efforts of the Nigerian government in combatting terrorism and the results in very positive. He reiterated Russia's readiness to cooperate with Nigeria not only on security but also other areas of economy.
