Ife OgunfuwaNigeria’s average mobile Internet download speed has remained below the global average of 27.22 megabits per second in more than two years. The report indicated that Nigeria’s average mobile Internet download speed in April was the highest in the past one year as the country recorded 14.26mbps. According to the Index, which compared Internet speed data from around the world on a monthly basis, the mobile Internet speed was lowest at 9.87mbps in June last year. The Index stated that the global average for mobile Internet download speed for the 140 countries examined in May was 27.22mbps while 9.79mbps was the global average upload speed attained. It was observed that mobile Internet speed has increased steadily in the past one year with increasing 3G and 4G subscriptions.
