Former Bristol City manager Nigel Pearson has thanked Robins fans for their support and messages over the days since his dismissal at Ashton Gate and urged them to get behind the team under Curtis Fleming. Pearson was sacked last Sunday with the club initially citing results and under-performance in the league table as the reason for ending Pearson’s two-and-a-half year reign at Ashton Gate. Nonetheless, Pearson leaves a proud legacy in BS3 having successfully navigated the club through difficult financial restrictions post-pandemic in which they were in danger of falling foul of the EFL Profit & Sustainability rules. “Dear Bristol City supporters,” Pearson wrote.
