The new floor takes the store’s floor area to 27,000 square metres. As with Ikea, Nido has been designed to be all about the “experience” – shopping at leisure, dining out and meeting up with friends. The opening of the store’s second level is expected to see weekend foot traffic grow significantly. NIDO Nido opened for business at the beginning of June. Kumar says the opening of the second stage of Nido, off Lincoln Road, Henderson, will create 100 new jobs in the retail sector.
