Substitute Oumar Niasse, the Senegal forward on loan with Hull from Everton, continued to make an impact for his new employers with two goals that could have a major say on the Premier League’s relegation battle. A goalscorer in last month’s win over Liverpool, Niasse had been on the field just seven minutes when he exchanged passes with Abel Hernandez and advanced before producing an emphatic finish on 69 minutes. Just nine minutes later, Niasse settled the outcome in slightly stranger fashion as Hernandez and defender Federico Fernandes both missed a cross from Ahmed Elmohamady and Niasse took one touch before converting his second from close range.
