A retired Niagara Falls city worker, who attempted to cheat other members of his lottery group, has pleaded guilty to theft and fraud charges. The lottery group typically met at a Tim Hortons on Dorchester Road in Niagara Falls. For a period of several months prior to July 31, 2013, Galella was the group leader for the lottery group. The OLG has paid out to 10 of the lottery group winners their share of the prize. That’s when Galella counselled his daughter to redeem the winning group lottery ticket.
