Kajiado's Joseph Lenku has become the latest governor to endorse KNCCI president Richard Ngatia for reelection. On Thursday, Lenku, who is also the spokesman of the Maa community, pledged his support for team Ngatia. "The Maa nation is safe, secure and progressive under team Richard Ngatia and Abdulwalli Shariff," Lenku said. During the last KNCCI elections in 2019, Ngatia made history as the first national chamber boss to assume office unopposed. Ngatia, who is seeking reelection with Abdulwalli Shariff as his running mate, will contest against the chamber's vice president Eric Rutto.
