Rahima’s son Jubayer, 7, and her husband Julhaz, went to offer their Isha prayers at the Baitus Salat Jame Mosque on Friday and fell victim to the horrific blast that took their lives. “They were being treated at a hospital in Dhaka and when my son died I took his dead body to my hometown of Barisal on Saturday. After his funeral, I came to know that my husband also died from the blast around 10am on Sunday,” said Rahima. Dozens of people were also injured in the blast and are currently undergoing treatment at the burn institute.
