The Paris Saint-Germain forward checked into the Mater Dei hospital in Belo Horizonte for the procedure on Saturday, which will be led by Brazil national team surgeon Rodrigo Lasmar. Neymar fractured the fifth metatarsal during PSG's 3-0 defeat of Marseille in Ligue 1 on February 25. Jose Luiz Runco, a former chief medical officer for the Brazil team, told AFP the surgery itself is "not difficult". Neymar has scored 28 goals in 30 appearances for PSG in all competitions since signing from Barcelona for a world-record fee last year.
