Newsom claimed California students outperform Florida kids. DeSantis brought a prop – the cartoon book Gender Queer – to demonstrate just one of the pornographic books allowed into California schools under Gov. While he is very interested in what young Florida children are reading, he's doesn't seem to care that many California kids can't read at all.
