Picture: EBCAddis Abeba – Oromo Cultural Studies Institute Center and Tigray Languages Academy have today signed a memorandum of understanding to enable the two institutions to work together in the field. Znabu Asrat, Deputy Director General of the Oromo Studies and Research Institute, said at the panel that the two institutions will work with the help of studies and research to promote the languages, culture and history of the two regional states. During the event, stories and artifacts written in Afaan Oromo were presented to the Tigray Languages Academy, which is represented by its director general, Dr. Daniel Teklu. Speaking at the panel today, Dr. Daniel said that the Academy we will work in cooperation with the Oromo Studies and Research Institute to strengthen the fraternity and multi-national unity between the Oromo and Tigray peoples. Diriba Tefera, the director general of Oromo Cultural Studies Institute Center has attended the panel discussion where various experts of the institute presented study papers on Afaan Oromoo, Oromo culture and history, according to the news.
