Newmarket’s Ed Eagle is hoping residents will support him and his musician buddies by voting for them in CBC Music’s annual SearchLight competition. That’s the message from three Newmarket self-styled “middle-aged rockers” who are hoping residents can help them make their dreams come true. The long-time musicians are Terry “Call Me T” Donohue, 57, Ed Eagle, 51, and Jeff “J.H.M” Maiers, 52. They are competing in CBC Music’s annual SearchLight competition, which aims to give independent artists some much-need publicity, Eagle said. You can vote for up to five nominees daily through throughout the first round, which ends May 30.
