Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin faces a long spell on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring injury in their 2-1 Premier League win over Southampton, manager Steve Bruce said on Friday. “He pulled his hamstring doing 38.6 kmph in the 96th minute. I don’t think anybody has run that fast in the league before,” Bruce told reporters ahead of Saturday’s trip to Burnley. “Shelvey has a bit of a sore calf and Almiron has a tight hamstring. “Our philosophy has been, since I walked through the door, that I want to work with what I’ve got,” Bruce said.
