Metro passengers have faced "major disruption" due to a power cut at a depot. Service were disrupted following the outage at Gosforth Metro Depot just before 05:00 GMT, according to Tyne and Wear Metro operator Nexus. Operations director Kevin Storey said it then caused a problem with the service's signalling system. This meant only a "limited number of trains" were put into service in the morning, he said.
