Newcastle United now have a week left of the January transfer window to get any business done before the trading period closes until the summer. Eddie Howe has been open about the fact United are unlikely to be able to add more than one player to the squad due to financial restrictions, with defensive back-up options the priority. United have been linked with a series of defenders but are yet to make their move, with the window closing at 7pm on February 2, time is running out. There could be some players heading for the exit too, with Jamaal Lascelles a target for West Ham and several sides in Europe.
