Newcastle United CEO Darren Eales insists Eddie Howe has done a "remarkable job" at St James' Park after leading the Magpies from the foot of the table to walloping Paris St-Germain in just two years. United were staring relegation to the Championship and away days at Stoke and Bristol City were on the cards just after the takeover. However, Howe not only kept Newcastle up at a canter in 2022, he led them to the Champions League a year later. Eales said: "Certainly from the club’s perspective our vision is to be top six, sustainable and compete for trophies. To be the top six sustainable club and we want to get there as quick as can but we have to do it plotting within the rules and within what is possible."
