Speaking after the triumph, Fitzpatrick said: “It is so cliché but it's stuff you dream of as a kid. "It's what you grow up dreaming of winning and I've worked so hard for such a long time. A devout Sheffield United fan, Fitzpatrick raved about the travelling Toon contingent after Newcastle claimed a 2-0 win at Bramall Lane in December 2019.
