On August 11, Yesenia Aguilar, 23, was killed by a drunk driver while out walking in Anaheim, California with her husband, James Alvarez, 36. In the days after the crash, Alvarez waited to see whether their baby, who was struggling, would pull through. 'My daughter, she's the last gift that my wife gave me, she's a blessing and a miracle,' he told Good Morning America. The proud dad hired photographer Grisel Leyva, who had also recently shot Aguilar and Alvarez for a maternity shoot. For the newborn photos, Adalyn Rose was dressed up pink, wrapped in pretty swaddles and dolled up in cute dresses.
