After launching Toronto Star Touch, our tablet edition, in 2015, we were surprised by the low numbers of readers who downloaded the tablet app and used it on a daily basis. Readers told us that many of the features they enjoyed were missing on Toronto Star Touch. Also, the universal app will allow readers to enjoy the same user experience with the Star on their smartphone as they do on their tablet device. The app will replace Toronto Star Touch. The last edition of Star Touch will be July 31.
