New study reveals evidence of excessive violence against men in mass grave in Ireland

CAIRO – 22 June 2022: Researchers examining a mass grave in Ireland found clear evidence of excessive violence. In 2021, archaeologists discovered a mass grave in Cork, Ireland, and now experts have confirmed that four of the men "met a violent end", according to ancient origins. Radiocarbon dating showed that the men lived in Cork between 1447 AD and 1636 AD. So far, the researchers found that four men were bound before being thrown into the grave. Their scientific research provides unique insights into human history, through visual examination of complete skeletons and biomolecular analysis of microscopic bone samples.
