Everyone’s favourite Mary Poppins is all set to return to the screen this year as Disney hopes that Mary Poppins fans will once again feel supercalifragilisticexpialidocious when they see the upcoming sequel. Blunt takes on Julie Andrews’ renowned role as the magical nanny Poppins, with Miranda playing Poppins’ lamplighter friend, Jack. The sequel takes place 25 years after the events of the original Mary Poppins film, following the now-grown children Michael (Ben Whishaw) and Jane Banks (Emily Mortimer), who have endured their own personal loss and need the help of their former nanny. Eager to help the children in any way they can, Poppins and Jack join forces. Mary Poppins Returns is set to hit theaters on December 25, 2018.
