Madoka half marathon Athletes compete in the 21km race during the 11th edition of the Madoka Half Marathon championship at the Ngrenyi Farm in Wundanyi within Taita Taveta County, October 22, 2016. Hosea Mwok from West Pokot and Lucy Cheruiyot of Elgeyo Marakwet are the new champions of this year’s Madoka Half Marathon. Mwok on his second stab set a new course record of 1:07.14 to beat John Mwangangi’s time of 1:07.56 set last year. The determined Mwok, unleashed his bag of experience to outshine Nichodemus Kipkurui (1.07.22) in one of the very competitive races staged at the Ngerenyi in Taita Taveta County, yesterday. Taita Taveta Governor John Mruttu participated in the corporate event.
