JOHOR BARU: The economic growth of Johor is expected to be further accelerate with the setting up of Toppen shopping centre, a new mall which will be integrated into the largest Ikea store in South-East Asia. Toppen will be Malaysia’s first shopping centre to be anchored by an Ikea store outside the Klang Valley. Ikea South-East Asia managing director Christian Rojkjaer said the new development would create 5,000 job opportunities for locals. He added that Ikea South-East Asia would also provide business opportunities to local suppliers in order to accommodate the needs of the new shopping centre. Its shopping centre and mixed-use director Christian Olofsson said the new shopping centre would bring a new and improved shopping experience for the locals.
