Louisa Murphy, owner of Saints Colour Specialist salons in Ferns and Tramore and founder of Saints Hat Hire, wearing one of her hats that are for hire. With sustainability and the idea of reusing fashion items increasingly coming to the fore, Wexford woman Louisa Murphy has decided to set up a new hat hire business to tap into this. Saints Hat Hire, based out of Ms Murphy’s hair salon Saints Colour Specialists in Ferns, Co Wexford, enables people to rent out hats for special occasions – be it a wedding or a day at the races – rather than having to buy them. “Renting hats instead of buying ensures our beautiful hats get another day out while also helping the planet,” Ms Murphy said. Recently, she also expanded her hairdressing business to open up a new hair salon in Tramore, Co Waterford, with Saints Hat Hire now also in operation there.
