Preliminary results indicated Cr was re-elected to the council and will be joined by newcomers Carol Sutherland, Alison Ludemann and Rachel Jenkinson. Cr Geoff Blackmore was also re-elected in the Lawrence-Tuapeka ward after he was challenged by Paul Tansley. Hamish Anderson, former Clutha District councillor, was elected onto the Clutha Health Incorporated board. There was no mayoral race in the Clutha District as Mayor Bryan Cadogan was unopposed in his bid.
