Community ContentWESTBOROUGH — A new exhibit, “Changing Pictures of Childhood: A Comparative History of Child Welfare in Westborough” is now on display at the Westborough Public Library through the end of September. The exhibit compares two approaches to child welfare that were practiced in Westborough at different points in history. The exhibit focuses on the years 1905-1912 of the school’s history and features photographs of the boys engaged in a variety of activities. In the roughly 100 years that separates these two child welfare practices, the notion of childhood itself went through profound change. It starts on the main floor of the library and continues into the Westborough Center for History and Culture.
