A notable sight was observed Thursday morning at State House as newly appointed cabinet secretaries took the oath of office. Outside the venue, officials were seen diligently affixing official flags to the newly assigned vehicles of the cabinet members. The flags, which denote the official status and position of the cabinet secretaries are a symbol of their new roles within the government. Cabinet Secretaries draw the privilege to fly the national flags on their official vehicles from the National Flag, Emblems and Names (Amendment) Act 2014. Lands CS Alice Wahome was next to take the oath, followed by Julius Ogamba (Education), Davis Chirchir (Transport), and Rebecca Miano (Tourism and Wildlife).
