The council's current planning and regulations manager Suzette van Aswegen will take over the reins from outgoing chief executive Wayne Barnett when he wraps up his five year tenure on November 10. MATTHEW LITTLEWOOD/ STUFF Current chief executive Wayne Barnett will leave the Mackenzie District Council in November. In May, Smith said Barnett had done "a tremendous amount" for the Mackenzie District.
