New car 'huge help' for patrol

PHOTO: ELLA STOKESThe North Dunedin Community Patrol is the "eyes and ears for the police'', trustee member Colin Lind says. Mr Lind and Marie Sutherland have been involved with the patrol since it was formed 13 years ago. Dunedin had three volunteer community patrols - in Dunedin North, Dunedin South and Mosgiel-Taieri - working with police. With just 20 volunteers, the Dunedin North patrol is on the lookout for more people.
