New art exhibition opens at Athlone Civic Centre atriumA solo exhibition by East Galway-based artist Lidia de Lange is underway in The Atrium Space, Athlone Civic Centre. The title of the exhibition, borrowed from a poem by Robert Frost, highlights the truth that everything in nature changes and decays over time. Through the work in this exhibition, Lidia de Lange reflects on how the changing rhythms of nature and the brevity of life mirror each other and how transient nature and life itself is. She uses painting, mixed media and photographs printed on fabric to convey a sensitivity to beauty, stillness and connection.
