Stuff recently reported on an Auckland tenant who was upset to have been given notice in the week before Christmas. It is hugely time-consuming and there's no guarantee you'll be offered a place even if you find one that you like. This shows the absolute lack of care that landlords or property owners have for the people that are supporting their income.
