On the first weekend of New Zealand's 2021 lockdown, hundreds of Wellingtonians headed to Oriental Bay. Among the many benefits of our new mandatory mask wearing is that stupid people are far more easily identifiable. Our second national lockdown had barely started before the lesser-thinking people of our country had begun acting up. They are adults who’ve been through lockdown before, just like the rest of us have, so any ignorance here is wilful. This column to amended to recognise that there are some people with legitimate exemptions from wearing masks.
