The centre of the extended continental shelf of New Zealand has switched islands. GNS SCIENCE The new geographical centre of New Zealand - if you include the extended continental shelf - is about 11km northwest of Greytown in the Wairarapa. It was remarkable that the centre of this vast area still fell on the five per cent of New Zealand above water. Apple said the collaboration with de Ronde and his team at GNS Science had been great and kept "art relevant".
