Since then, New Zealand banned all military-style semi-automatic weapons and assault rifles. PM Ardern said: "Every semi-automatic weapon used in the terrorist attack on Friday will be banned." This includes a ban on larger magazines and modifications - which would cover every type of weapon used in the shootings.
