Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has stated she does not want Kiwis to believe the "battle is over when it is not" in response to a question about declaring Covid-19 eliminated. The New Zealand Government is looking to expand the country's quarantine capacity, Immigration Minister Iain Lees-Galloway has confirmed. There were many ideas being considered around quarantine for those entering New Zealand, he said. "Obviously we are very interested in expanding the capacity for quarantine so that more people can come across the border." As most of those entering the country were New Zealanders, the Ministry of Health - not Immigration - was the lead agency, he said.
