New Zealand couple cash in on $6 million success from fitness gear

Palmerston North couple Jessica Wong and her partner Micah Hatch's 18-month-old e-commerce fitness startup has made $6 million in sales over the past year. Now, the owners of Peach Builder, which sells resistance training bands, have used the success of their e-commerce brand to launch an active wear clothing line. Traction on social media through paid partnerships with Instagram influencers, such Shannon Harris (Shaaanxo), promoting their product led to sales nearly hitting $300,000 in their first six months. The likes of Kylie Jenner, who has 146 million Instagram followers, can reportedly make up to $1 million for a single post. Peach Builder has also gained traction since becoming official partner of the Miss Universe Australia 2019 pageant, with contestants posing with the resistance bands on their social media.
