New Zealand batsmen allow Pakistan back into first test

New Zealand batsmen allow Pakistan back into first testANDREW CORNAGA/PHOTOSPORT Pakistan bowler Rahat Ali celebrates the wicket of Astle with Younis Khan. Pakistan have pulled themselves back into the first test with accurate fast bowling and some sloppy Black Cap batting. New Zealand resumed day three on 104-3 at Christchurch's Hagley Oval, but relinquished their day two dominance and allowed Pakistan back into the match. Pakistan's quicks were superb with Mohammad Amir (3-43), Sohail Khan (3-78) and Rahat Ali (4-62) all bowling effectively. Pakistan desperately needed to strike early on day three and did so in the third over of the morning.
