The shearing championship coincided with Te Kuiti’s Great New Zealand Muster to celebrate its claim to be the shearing capital of New Zealand. Tom Lee/Stuff Te Kuiti played host to the New Zealand Shearing Championships with the community also enjoying the annual Running of the Sheep, which saw thousands of sheep race down the high street.
