A New York man who killed his toddler daughter, burned her body and dumped her remains in a waterway has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. Twenty-five-year-old Ryan Lawrence of Syracuse was sentenced Wednesday in Onondaga County Court. He pleaded guilty in September to killing 21-month-old Maddox Lawrence in February. Authorities say he killed her with a wooden baseball bat, tied her remains to a cinderblock and dumped them in a Syracuse creek. District Attorney William Fitzpatrick says he has no answers as to why Lawrence killed his daughter.
