Adding Stanton to a lineup that already includes Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez just sounds gluttonous. But the Miami Marlins, a struggling organization saddled with debt, found themselves in a position of desperation. Stanton, the man who controlled all the power in this situation, wanted New York.
