I am excited to announce that Andy Das has been named a deputy editor on the Live team in New York, where he will play a crucial role in shaping the live report on the biggest storylines and managing the team across multiple time zones. Andy is a versatile, unflappable editor who has deftly handled stories of all shapes and sizes in his nearly 20 years at The Times. Much has changed over the years, and Andy has been nimble enough to keep pace and remain a steady hand throughout. His colleagues still talk about his tireless and expert leadership when Times reporters staked out a five-star hotel in Zurich to break the story of widespread corruption in FIFA. Andy joined The Times in 2006 as a sports copy editor.
